of obama care and it could be a disaster in its own right in terms of precedent in the u.s. senate. your thoughts? >> well, count me then in the minority in the universe of punditry because i don't think it's a distraction. not much of a distraction for regular americans given the head leans you just showed. i don't think anything that harry reid does or senate procedure distracts people from losing the health insurance or losing their doctor. what i do think this is is an example of a presidency in crisis and a president increasingly beholden to a liberal base that he is relying on to get him through what promises to be many painful months of this rollout, dragging forward the president is going to ground. he's going to his base. harry reid wouldn't have done this and the president certainly wouldn't have walked out moments afterward to bless it if this wasn't a part of the plan, if this wasn't part of the team and you see the president very much trying to fire up the base, give them what they want which are liberal judges on the bench and move forward as the rest of the country seems t
to fix the website millions need to use in the next two weeks or they might not have insurance come january 1. many of those folks had insurance before the law, but it was cancelled as a result of it. tonight a growing number of signs that the obama administration has real fears the site could crash and burn again. it went out for an hour, just on monday. this morning, fox news confirmed that the administration is telling supporters they should not rush to visit health in the coming days. isn't that the purpose? they need all the people to sign up. but the message is don't go. not many of you anyway. there are still concerns about how much the site can handle. that's a real problem for the millions of americans who have seen their insurance policies cancelled and must sign up for coverage. must sign up by december 23 in order for them and their families to have coverage in the new year. 5,500,000 people who had insurance, many of whom were happy with the insurance, got their policies cancelled thanks to this law. and now may not have insurance come 2014, thanks to the law.

of the second day they hadn't even cut 250. what does that tell us? >> that tells us the computer operation system to sign up apparatus, the guts of this thing were a much worse disaster than we had even previously known. because remember we're talking about a universe of what 30 million, 25 or 30 million uninsured human beings. we're talking about a lot of people that his president and their political base tweeting them, talking to them, get your obama care. we spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the rollout, we sent out navigateors, we spent a ton of money and time to get people into this and it was such a mess that only six human beings -- you want to talk about a war room. that's like the sinking ship war room that you're sitting around what's happening? what's the latest, guys? what do you have on this? they say we got six. >> right. no one thought to ask miss sebelius, so just give us a hint. can you among two hands. tuf to close your hands to re-open them. six, chris? we're laughing but this is supposed to be -- this is the big thing. these people were supposed to be signing up

of power play joins us. chris, you have the state insurance commissioners which get to decide if they will do it or not. already a couple of them have said, nice try, mr. president. it's too confusing. has to get past that barrier and the insurance companies who get to decide if they want to do this or not. has he gotten it done? >> it almost seems as if he doesn't want it to happen at all. it seems as if what the president is doing is shifting the blame to other people, to republicans, to his partners in the insurance industry and elsewhere that the wrecking ball keeps swinging through the private insurance market, that it continues to knock down policies, that because of either just the raw logistics for state insurance commissioners of getting thinged turned around in time or the insurance industry that he, remember, instructed, caused, made to dump the policies can now say never min want the fix to work except to fix people stop blaming him. >> not just him but fellow democrats. talk about what this means, why he did this with respect to his political motivation. >> well,
